Thanks for inviting me back into your inbox with a new blog post, a fresh podcast episode, and a few thoughts on how brands can get found in AI search.

Let’s just jump right into the good stuff.

🎙️ Latest Podcast Episode

PR, AI, and Getting Cited
This week, I sat down with Chris Panteli of Linkifi to talk about the role PR and backlinks play in getting surfaced by AI search engines.

Chris has a wealth of knowledge and is a pro at getting mentions on high-authority websites. One thing that stood out to me was that GEO tactics mix age-old brand-building advice.

So, all of the things we thought we left behind in 2015 that no longer served our SEO efforts? It's time to pick them up, dust them off, and put them back into practice. Brand building still matters.

On this episode, we cover:

  • Why traditional PR tactics need a refresh in the era of GEO

  • The connection between backlinks and AI search visibility

  • What founders and marketers can do today to improve their odds

✍️ What’s New on the Blog

How Do You Develop an Effective Content Distribution Strategy?

Okay, so I had ChatGPT draft my newsletter, so I could repurpose my template from last time. For this section, it is recommended to start with “Spoiler: hitting publish isn’t enough anymore.”

Uh, Chat, babe. Hitting publish was never enough. Content was meant to be shared.

In the latest blog post, I cover how to think about your distribution plan in relation to your marketing goals, whether that’s brand awareness, AI search visibility, or pipeline growth.

If you're struggling with getting your content out there, you might find this post helpful.

🔮 What’s Coming Up Next

Next week, I’m sharing my latest conversation with Kristina Frunze from WebviewSEO. If you’ve been around a while, you’ll remember that we chatted about whether SEO still has a pulse.

This week, we discussed which metrics you should be tracking for GEO. Keep an eye on LinkedIn for that episode.

🌱 Personal Life Update

Outside of work, I’m training for a half-marathon in December. Running has been so good for me lately—and definitely cheaper than therapy.

CMOing at ThoughtTree has been going well, too. This week, I finally figured out how to connect our two products, ThoughtTree and ThoughtSpace, into one cohesive brand. Honestly, going to be riding that high for a while.

ThoughtTree, an analytical workspace, beta launches on 9/22, and ThoughtSpace, a creative AI workspace (and the one I’m most excited about!), launches on 9/29. If you’re interested in testing out these AI workspaces, you can sign up for the beta waitlist here.

That’s it for now. Thanks for reading. If you have questions you want me to explore in future newsletters, just hit reply.
